Ingredients
- 1 box fettuccine
- 4 tbsp. butter
- 3 tbsp. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- ½ tsp. pepper
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup half and half
- ½-¾ cup of grated parmesan cheese (freshly grated from a block is best)
Directions
- Cook pasta and set aside
- Melt butter on medium-low heat
- Add salt, pepper, and flour and whisk until roux is a pale brown
- Slowly add milk and half and half and whisk
- Add cheese and whisk until smooth
- Season with more salt and pepper if needed
- Fold pasta into sauce
