Shrimp and Sausage Creole Pasta
Ingredients
- 12 oz. ziti or penne pasta
- ½ lb. smoked sausage (sliced)
- 1 tbsp. flour
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 tsp. creole seasoning
- 1 large green or red pepper
- ¾ lb. peeled shrimp
- 1 cup scallions (optional)
Directions
- Cook pasta and drain, set aside
- Cook sausage on medium-high heat until browned
- Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute
- Stir in broth, creole seasoning, and peppers
- Cook until peppers are crisp-tender (about 2 minutes)
- Add shrimp and cook until done (about 3 minutes)
- Remove from heat and serve over pasta
- Top with scallions (optional)
